Sheffield Camera club (Rolls Royce Derby Photographic Society) trip for street photography in Sheffield. The day was cold with good light. Covered a wide variety of locations including Park Hill, Victoria Quays, Kelham Island, Winter Gardens, and many more.
Calke Abbey In the cold we ventured out to the local Calke Abbey. The lake was frozen and a reasonable amount of snow remained from the recent weather. Some very interesting patterns in the ice and general winter scenes.
Upper Moor Wood Always a pleasure to visit this now popular photography location near Matlock. Whatever the conditions you can usually capture some great images. On this day the light was kind tour and made the colours pop.
LichfieldAn excursion to photograph the FENLAND BLACK OAK TABLE, at the time, on display in the Cathedral. A subject that proved difficult. A variety of shots taken around the Cathedral, not easy with the low light and high contrast. Thank you to the helpful staff at the Cathedral.
Trent LockThe River Trent was in flood, with fast flowing water, The aim to try out some slow shutter speed photography to smooth out the water and give patterns in a grey sky. I'm pleased with a couple of shots from the 2 hour session.
